Outward Bound

A partnership between River’s Edge Academy and the Outward Bound Twin Cities Urban Center was made possible by a large donation. Students at River’s Edge will have the opportunity to participate in programming with Outward Bound for the next three years.

The mission of OBTC is to “create opportunities for students of all walks of
life to discover and build their strength of character; emerging with leadership skills, compassion and a lasting commitment to serve.

Our programs accomplish this mission by working in partnership with schools,
non-profit organizations and other youth serving organizations
in the Twin Cities.

Our Urban and Wilderness programs take place in and around the Twin Cities.
The St. Croix River Valley, Minnesota River Valley and Mississippi River all provide wonderful program opportunities, along with our great urban, regional and state parks.

Program opportunities include:

• Backpacking
• Snowshoeing
• Orienteering
• Urban Expeditions
• Ropes courses
• Indoor and Outdoor Rock Climbing
